The Speaker 

Navroop Kaur is a IT Operations student at RRC Polytech with a strong interest in service desk support, technical troubleshooting, project management, and customer service. I enjoy solving problems, helping people with technology, and learning how IT can improve everyday experiences. Through my studies, work, volunteering, and networking experiences, I am developing my skills in technical support while also building my communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities. I am passionate about growing my career in IT and creating meaningful connections within the technology community.

The Talk

Public speaking is not just about standing on a stage,it is a skill we use every day when sharing ideas, networking, interviewing, leading a team, or simply speaking up for ourselves. Many people hold back because of nervousness, fear of judgment, or a lack of confidence.

In this talk, I will explore practical ways to become a more confident speaker, manage nervousness, communicate ideas clearly, and connect with an audience. I will also share lessons from my own journey of developing confidence through conversations, presentations, networking, and stepping outside my comfort zone.

My goal is to make public speaking feel less intimidating and more approachable, showing that you do not have to be a natural-born speaker to become a confident one.
