The Talk

What happens when you lose your network, your visibility, and your professional identity—overnight?

When I moved to Canada, I left behind 15+ years of experience and a strong professional brand and network. As a new mother working from home, I found myself invisible in a market where opportunities come through connection. Rebuilding wasn’t about sending more resumes — it was about becoming visible again. In this talk, I share the journey from isolation to connection, and how personal branding and intentional networking became the foundation for rebuilding not only a career, but a sense of direction and belonging. This is not about self-promotion — it’s about showing up with clarity, building trust, and creating meaningful relationships that lead to real opportunities. Drawing from my experience working across cultures and markets, I will reflect on how founders, startup teams, and professionals can use personal brand as a strategic asset—especially when resources are limited, and credibility needs to be built from the ground up. I will also share practical insights on how combining online presence (through platforms like LinkedIn) with real, human connections can unlock growth in ways traditional marketing often cannot. This talk is for founders, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are building something new — whether it’s a business, a career, or a new chapter—and are ready to move from being invisible to really connected.
